11th World Festival of Children's Theatre June 18 - 25, 2010 in Lingen (Ems), Germany - Germany

The Motto „Make your Dream!“

The worldwide most known dream surely is a one by Martin Luther King jr. on the occasion of march protest rally in Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28th, 1963 in Washington DC. There Martin Luther King jr. thematized a huge number of very personal dreams which found its expression in a very high social explosive nature as well:

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today.

Dreams and visions are at once the engine and fuel for people, cultures and societies. Particularly with regard on children and youth, cause they are responsible for the dreams and visions of our society in the future, for a better tomorrow.

The 11th World festival of children's theatre 2010 is dealing with dreams, whose furtherance and translation into sociocultural and artistic realities as forms of social participation and arrangement.

The motto of the festival - expressed by the youthful Dirk Muller from Lingen - refers onto the children's creative power and joy in communication. In common games they develop their competence of social closeness and overcome one's prejudices as well as religious and socially imposed demilitations.

Children sign up to speak confident

In their performances the children will not only describe the Utopia, the most desirable. In view to the respective social circumstances of their countries and available living conditions it's rather a question what kind of changes are necessary, in hope the world in the 21st century can offer confidence and future chances to all the young people.

The motto "Make your Dream!" also is an appeal for children as well as adults too, listen to your dreams and put it into action.
