The little Prince does not come from our earth but from a small asterioid hardly larger than a house. This asteriod was dicovered by an oriental astronomer who was never taken seriously due to his tradional clothing. But when he appeared on a conference wearing suit and tie and then repeated his thesis he got strong applause and recognition.
On his planet the litte Prince’s main work was to clean volcanos, to pull out baobab trees so that they won’t overgrow and distroy the whole planet.
At the end the Pince left his planet.
Looking for friends he visits other asteroids nearby. He meets a number of persons entrenching themselves behind lonelyness: a king possessing a fictive kingdom, a vain admirer, a businessman having stars, a geographer writing very thick books in which unfortunately the Prince misses the most important thing of life. The geographer asks the Prince to visit the planet earth and he is following this advice.
After a discussion with a snake, he crosses the African desert and comes across a flower, finds a rose garden and meets a fox. This one tells the Prince a secret: “You can see only with your heart, all what is essencial in life cannot be seen with your eyes”.
The children of the Theatre Group CHLA invite their audience to accompany the Prince on his trip full of beautiful scenes, dance, poetry, music and magic.
