Immediately after the opening ceremony at the marketplace all participants and guests will join the big procession to the festival area "Park of Dreams".
Park of Dreams
Around the Theater an der Wilhelmshöhe participants and visitors are expected by the “Park of Dreams" with numerous opportunities to play, explore, creative fashioning and sensual experience. The festival area is idyllic situated under tall old trees. During the festival there will be various programme activities, animations and open stages on the large open-air-stage called "Stage of Dreams". In addition to the certain programme a lot of possibilities to take part in are available, even everybody’s own performance.
Range of activities on offer full-time
Following the motto "Make Your Dream!" pupils, students, artists and firms together create a place to sensual experience and active fashioning for the whole family in the run-up to the festival.
High up carries for example the park of climbing, exciting to all senses it will be on the trail of feelings and in the tent of sounds many exotic instruments can be tried.
Who wants to let off steam can play Low-T-ball, kick to the goal wall, do trampolining or climb up the straw pyramid. In expert guidance fans of circuses can walk on stilts, juggle or balance on cables.
Or maybe a little calmer? Visit the tent of silence to relax and live to see a fire meditation. Discover many of the dreamcatchers in the trees during a tour and wonder about the dreams in the glass.
We build a park
The final cut the "Park of Dreams" gets because of the creativity of participants and visitors of the festival: you can build a dream house, collaborate on a work of art, create dream shapes or simply build sandcastles.
Every day different offers
Every day there are three participating countries in the limelight. Detailed information about people and countries, arts and cultures as well as the daily routine of the theatre children are waiting for all interested people in a large, interactive pavilion.
On the festival area called "Park of Dreams" the participating groups will give a hand to create the programme and also present a traditional game, which is typical of their country.
Stage of Dreams
On the "Stage of Dreams" there is on the one hand a certain daily changing international programme but on the other hand at specified times the stage is available for park visitors for spontaneous performances as part of an "Open Stage" Everyone who wants may act.
Exciting evening programme
After the performances at 8:00 pm the day is far from over. Each day the crowning finish are special events: concerts of international artists, amazing performances, disco or fireworks invite you to finish the day on the festival.
The "Park of Dreams" will be opened after the big opening ceremony on 18th June at 6:00 pm. From 19th June to the end of the World Festival of Children's Theatre the festival park will be accessible weekdays from 12:00 pm-10:00 pm and on weekend from 10:00 am- 10 pm. Admission free.
