From the 18th to the 25th June 2010 the 11th World Festival of Children’s Theatre takes place in Lingen (Ems).

The roots of the present festival date back to the year 1990 when the first worldwide festival for children's theatre opened in Lingen. Now, it is considered as one of the most important international festivals of its kind. Hosted by organisers in Moscow / Russia, the festival now returns to its roots in Lingen (Ems), Germany.

Between the 18th to 25th June 2010 over 300 children will not only stand on stage in Lingen (Ems) under the slogan "Make Your Dream", but spend a week in the Park of Dreams playing together, experiencing foreign cultures and gathering many new impressions - for short: having a wonderful time.

Over 300 children from all continents are coming to Germany

The participating groups are arriving from Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Colombia, Czech Republic, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Norway, Russia, Slovenia, Venezuela and Zimbabwe.

History

The first World festival of children's theatre

The first children's theatre group in the theatre-pedagogic center by "Emsländische Landschaft e. V" (TPZ Lingen) was founded in 1981 by Mr. Norbert Rademacher. Already two years later the children presented results of their work in a small celebration called: "Children play and dance for children"

As you clearly see, the Homepage is not yet "ready". Until Friday, february 5th, we will diligently upload content - such as the descriptions of the participating groups and plays,  photos and videos.

Constantly at work is the translation of the most important content into other languages. More than 25 volunteers working on this task - thank you!

And then ... it is up to you!

From next Monday you can register and participate. Write a blog, share pictures and videos with other participants, tell us your preparing for your trip to Lingen (ems) in Germany and comment our concepts. Describe the difficulties in the preparations and the arrival - and of course the anticipation ;-)
